The whole Mission Valley/Fashion Valley area is a black hole to me. I have a really good sense of direction, but it's just one of those places where I can never remember where anything is in relation to anything else. Maybe because it's all mall sprawl? I dunno.
But goddamn, it sure is beautiful after dark. This is the view from a friend's balcony. I'm very jealous. For reference, the street going down into the valley is Texas Street. The 8 cuts across the frame slightly below center, and that's the 805 in the upper right.
And yes, I hate that I now put "the" in front of the name of the highway. Stupid west coast style of speaking.

I like this shot. It's a bit different from the trillions of long exposure night time road shots.
