Nick's media badge from the NYC Toy Fair. He brought it to SD to give to me because he knew how absolutely jealous I would be that he got to go to it. Fact - the font on the lanyard that says "Toy Fair" is the Toys R Us font, except without the backwards "R". Another fact - I only know this because I worked at Toys R Us in high school. The employee discount sucked. So did working there in general.
But I was thinking the other day about how I got started with music, photography, this blog even. I got burned pretty badly by someone else, and my reaction (whether out of spite or an effort to distract myself) was to throw myself into the music scene. Which led to gig photography. Which led to this blog and everything else since.
Funny how things like that happen. Funny how every time I get burned I get stronger, instead of more broken.
