I was under the impression that the canceled June 8th Sigur Ros show was to be rescheduled for September 30th, somewhere in TJ.
Stereogum reports that they will actually be playing in San Diego, not TJ, on October 1st (September 30th they are in Tempe, AZ). At the Copley Symphony Hall.
That's definitely a far cry from a burnt-out theater in TJ. Think I probably would have enjoyed that atmosphere better. Or at least the SDSU Open Air Theater?

Less picturesque, it's true, but they played Copley last time they were in town and it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteso they won't play Tijuana, but what about the tickets bought for the canceled show? according to the promoter's site, there will be "special seats for those who bought their tickets in May and June". maybe they'll be honored (somehow) at Copley on october 1st.
ReplyDeleteor at the very least, a refund.
Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I didn't actually have a ticket for the TJ show, as I was supposed to be on the list to shoot it. And the presale for most dates started today, but there was no presale for the San Diego date.
