The noise on this camera is much more noticeable at ISO 1600 than it is on my XT. Weird. I'm assuming it's a function of the smaller sensor in the SD1000.
The difference in noise could be a few things: a different type/model/brand of sensor that produces more or less noise. Or there might be some noise-reduction software in the XT. It might be other things as well; I'm hardly an expert.
ReplyDelete1/10 is pretty good for hand-held. At those speeds it's a crap shoot for me. I often put it on continuous mode and shoot a few, hoping that my hand jitter won't show up in a middle shot of the series.
